About_
BES V is the fifth edition of Bridging European Science, an international event organized by RAICEX to connect researchers, institutions, and professionals working in science, innovation, and knowledge transfer.
Held in Oslo, the event brings together participants from different countries for two days of talks, discussions, and networking. The event’s visual identity was developed by Tais Cardoso, while Studio Latina was responsible for the interface design and website development, creating a central digital platform to bring together the programme, venue, thematic areas, registration, and practical information.
Research_
The project began with an analysis of the event content, the audiences involved, and the essential information participants would need before and during the event.
We organized the materials, reviewed references from scientific events, and mapped the main user journeys, which helped define a clear information hierarchy and highlight the most important content on the website.
Challenge_
The main challenge was to transform a large volume of scattered information into a clear, accessible, and easy-to-navigate digital experience that could communicate the purpose of the event while bringing together the programme, thematic areas, venue, organization, accommodation, and registration in an integrated and intuitive way for participants from different countries.
Solution_
We created a responsive website structured around the participants’ main needs, organizing the content into clear sections with an objective visual hierarchy and direct navigation between the event’s key information.
The interface integrated BES V’s visual identity with interactions and layout solutions designed for the digital environment, with English and Spanish versions to serve an international audience and facilitate access across different devices.
Results_
The final website brought together all the essential event information into a single digital platform, reducing content fragmentation and making the participant journey more intuitive.
The result was a responsive and accessible experience that supported the event’s communication, strengthened its visual presence, and offered participants a reliable source of information before and during BES V.
